I recently noticed that our eldest ferret, Maboul, was losing weight and
I almost could not believe it when I realized that his huge spleen had
shrunk. He was about a year old when we adopted him over 3 years ago.
He already had a huge and hard spleen, that I noticed right away. You
did not need to be a vet to feel it! Furthermore, he was walking more
like a lizard than a ferret. Since his spleen shrunk, he has been
walking more like a ferret and has been more active. I am looking
forward to his visit to the vet in a few weeks to find out if there is a
link between his spleen and activity level.

Did this happened to one of your ferrets? We have had 15 ferrets since
1993 & I have not heard of shrinking spleens.
