There are some medications you get from a vet that you can get from a
pharmacy a lot cheaper, including antibiotics and Prednisone. If the
vet is prescribing something, ask if you can get a written prescription
that can be filled at the pharmacy. If you start out the visit, as I
do, explaining that money is tight and tests and such need to be kept
to a minimum, they understand about wanting the prescriptions from a
pharmacy.
