We've been keeping the fuzzdorks in the bathroom in our new house until we
can make it ferret friendly (and find all of our stuff!) Anyway, I went to
take a shower this morning and guess who jumped in with me? Mithril, my
crazy little female ferretbat. The curtain hung all the way down to the
bottom, and she was able to shark around behind the curtain, keeping most of
the water off of her. She kept sticking her face out, with the rest of the
shower curtain draped over her, and licking the bottom of the tub and my
feet. I laughed and laughed.

New idea for the ferret fantasy maze: Okay, we are planning on stringing a
ferret tube through a household FFZ with barriers on either end. Question:
this house came with a doggie door through the outside wall which is now
covered with plywood. Do you think the ferrets would like it if we built a
cage outside and tube-connected it to the house through the defunct doggie
door? I know that means if we get a doggie, he's out of luck. I think it
sounds neat, but then I wonder if the ferrets would really be interested.
We could put a sandbox out there, and some other outside toys...

Last question: Hey, you can use woodstove pellets for ferret litter? We
have a wood stove--can you burn them *after* you use them??? <g>

-Catherine (I wonder if Martha Stewart heats her home with ferret dung...)
