Amen to that!  I can't tolerate artificial scents at all, even in bath
soap or laundry detergent.  I love the way my ferrets smell.  Each of
them has a slightly different aroma, as distinct as their personalities.
 
I never bathe them, unless someone gets into something messy.  I keep
their bedding and litter boxes clean, that's all it takes.  Friends who
come to my house will often say something like, "I thought ferrets
smelled; but your ferrets don't smell at all!"  (Personally, I think
most people are de-sensitized to natural scents because their noses are
overwhelmed with strong perfumes.  My ferrets DO smell; they smell
great!).
