Hello group!

My ferret has always been an ichy little guy, no fleas and a bath every two
weeks (it was every 10 days but he is neutered and decented).
My question is conserning a small abrasion he developed on his left shoulder.
It isn't very big ( half the size of a dime ). But he won't leave it alone!!
My Vet says a little antibiotic ointment and to keep it covered, she recommend-
ed a tiny sock slipped over his shoulders (after removing the 'toe' first...
<giggle>...he's going to look pretty silly).
I'm going to give it a try tonight but why did he get a 'boo-boo'? He's in
his cage during the day but remains free from 6pm until 6am. Do ferrets
commonly 'pick' at a scab like a dog does?? Is bathing him every 14 days too
often?
<sigh> It really bothers me to see him injured. What can I do so it won't
occur again.
Thanks,
Deb in NH and Pauly ("What do you mean leave it alone...it ITCHES")
