>What about my question was so rotten? Maybe the part that breeders are

>that. Well our shelters are not full of them, they are full of small
>abused, sick, ferrets that need vet care and expensive surgeries.

* You are correct, so it is not breeders who are at fault it is the
idiots who buy them. Shelters being full has nothing to do with
breeders. Shelters are full b/c jerks mass breed and sell to a
Petstore. The Petstore does not do any sort of research on the new
owner and sells to whomever has the money. How is this a breeders
fault?

>If you are a breeder then take some of the $300-$500 you make selling
>them and put that toward your rescues.

* Not sure who is selling for $500 but I am impressed. Most I know of
sell between $150 - $300 and that about covers the cost of food & vet
bills. Not too much else.

>Some rescues have 100 or more to take care of with a slim income and
>they have to pay their own vet bills.

* You are correct but that was THEIR choice when they went into the
Rescue field. I know of NO RESCUE that makes a profit. Being a
shelter/rescue is not about the $$ it is about the love you have for
the helpless.

>I am not sorry for voicing my opinion about this but last I heard
>the Constitution gives me the right just like everyone else. I guess
>everyone is shocked to hear from me because I rarely speak up on here
>about any subject.

* I think we are more surprised b/c it was so negative and
discriminatory.

>I am a rescuer and have been for 40 some years. I don't have room for
>a shelter but I think most who know me will say that I will drive
>cross country if the need is there I support any shelter that needs my
>help..I guess I am still upset that two of the large breeding rescues
>I helped with, some were taken by people to continue breeding, the very
>thing we rescued them from.....

* I completely agree with you on that. It disgusts me and we both know
I have repeatedly posted on the subject.

>Now that is really ROTTEN... All this over a simple question that I
>asked....
>
>Ya'll are true to form. my private e-mails are not much better than
>your's Staci.

* Not sure what you are getting but I have not had any bad emails.
