Although this posting is only slightly ferret related I felt it has it's
merits considering all the violence that has been going on (Spokane Ferret;
Children in Arkansas; etc.)
 
For the past few days on the front page of my local newspaper is the story
of 3 adults, one of them the mother, tortured a 3 year old child ubtil he
died.  If this is not the sign of a sick & demented group of people I don't
know what is.
 
Yesterday it was reveled that along with 5 other children living with these
3; there were 3 dogs, 9 cats, 2 ferrets, guinea pigs and fish; who were
confiscated by the local ASPCA.  As there are no local Ferret Rescues in my
area I looked up the number to see how the little ones were doing.  I was
told they were claimed by a relative...They appeared to be in good health
and showed no signs of abuse...let's all say a prayer that this is true; and
prayers to that poor little boy whose life was taken in a most horrible
way...there is much outrage in the area..they want no mercy shown to these 3
vicious people...no jail...the dealth penalty!!  I am sure that there will
be alot more comming out in the future..If an interest is shown I will post
any info when I get it.........Linda

though not sure I'd be able to say the same thing about followups debating
the death penalty.  Unless it's for hurting ferrets, anyhow.  BIG]
