I think it would be interesting for everyone to post who they are and
whether thier ferrets have adrenal disease or insulinoma.  Also, it would
be neat to hear what they are doing about these problems as in surgery,
medicine, diet, etc.  This would be hlpful for all of us that are having
questions about these illnesses our ferrets are sick with.
 
I will start...My name is Lisa.  I live in Nashville, TN.  I have two
fuzzies.  I have a male albino ferret, Otis, around 5.5 yrs old.  He was
diagnosed with adrenal tumors at the early age of one.  I have had two
surgeries on him for this.  The last surgery was found to be inoperable
due to the way the tumor was actually completely inside the vena cava.
So, he is now on Lupron.  He has just now been diagnosed with insulinoma.
I am treating him with Pred and I dont feel at this point surgery is an
option.  My other ferret Clara is six and she has never had any medical
problems.  She still acts like she did as a kit!  Now its your turn!!!!
