My ferret, Penny gets along well with "the cat", probably better than I do.
*g* In the afternoons when we return home from work, I let them out of the
utility room (Penny has her won condo) and they chase each other through the
house for a while.  The funny thing is that "the cat" and Penny will have
the stand-offs.  Penny will be laying submissively on the floor and then
"the cat" will reach over with her paw and pin her head to the floor..it's
hysterical!!
