Hi everyone,
 
I know that there is lyme disease in dogs in Texas.  It isn't real common
yet but it has happened.  I haven't heard anything about cats.
 
S.E. Texas is bad about bugs.  The upper Gulf Coast doesn't get a lot of
hard freezes, and is piney wood country, so you get bunches of bugs that
never die out.  Houston once went 3 years in between hard freezes.
