Hi all

I know i haven't been keeping up with everyone one on the FML lately, sorry.
Congratulations to everyone who has new additions and my heartfelt sympathies
to those who have lost loved ones. I have laughed & cried in the same
breath while reading your posts.

I just had to tell you about Oscars new "game" . He is the most creative
out of all six. He is an albino with the greatest personality, I truly
adore him. We almost lost him to ECE last Christmas, but he survived it.
Every time I lay eyes on him, I think of how healthy he looks now, it is a
miracle to me. Maybe its just me pinning human emotions on him, but it
truly seems as if he knows how close he came to crossing over. Ever since
then he is so much more playful! It is like he decided he better enjoy life
while he's a ferret. Well anyway, he has created several fun games,
including, submarine, (I know that lots of ferrets do it, but he seems to
take it very seriosly) Blind mans bluff, where he will stick his head in the
empty Pounce can and walk around until he runs into a wall. He will do this
several times. There is also "chase". Oscar will chase any human, or Dog,
or other ferret tirelessly for hours. Back and forth and forth and back.
Dooking all the way . . . Now he has decided he loves daddy's chins. He
will hug them with his front paws and lick like crazy. If dad tries to move
his leg, Oscar will grip harder & bite gently to keep the ankle in place.
He also scratches at dads leg , like a cat would do to a scratching post.

Nikita
Some of you may remember last September, when I started to suspect Nikita
had adrenal tumors. I was not sure if surgery was the best option for her
at the time, due to Rikki's death. Well, I have decided to give Nikita a
chance with surgery. She is scheduled for this friday (1/17). Please keep
her in your prayers.
