 Hello all...

This is an update to anyone interested on my previous post from 6-9-96. We
have been in contact with the Store Manager and he has called the breeder.
The company, Glascow Enterprises, in Elk City, OK has offered to "have the
customer return the animal in exchange for a new one". I am most certain
this would work for a pair of shoes but, not AnAsTaSiA!

The pet store from which Anna was bought is Superpetz. They have offered
"verbally" to pay for any medical costs up to but not exceeding the purchase
price of the ferret. I really was not concerned with the monetary aspect
with all this but, in view of Travis's post in support of Superpetz I must
agree with him. My previous post was not meant to place blame on anyone,
only to describe the facts. I have decided that any new additions to the
ferret family will come from a local breeder (if there is one; I have not
looked). Both Diana and Paelon are MF ferrets purchased at a different pet
store (pass pets). They have both been very healthy.

On the topic of "free roam" [ I hope this topic is not too worn by the time
I post this ]

It really depends on the situation. It only took two trips to the emergency
vet for me to figure it out. I have a rather large area for them to explore
(2200 sq ft in 2 levels) and I do that only under supervision. "Ferret
proofing" my place would be "people proofing" as well and I like my carpet
the way it is. They only "play" for a few hours a day anyway. The rest of
the time they sleep. I would personally rather be able to watch them then
to have them get stuck somewhere. Your results may vary.
