I hope you can all spare just a second or two for a quick prayer or good
thoughts for my baby Noel.
 
Noel is my sweet little 6 year old female.  She's one of the only two
remaining Herd members left.  She was diagnosed in February with
insulinoma and put on pred.  She hasn't been taking to it as well as my
other two that had insulinoma so we had to increase her dose in July.
Then in early September she started to lose some fur.  It was mainly
where we were scruffing her to give her the meds, so I didn't think much
of it.  Then the rest of her coat started to thin.  At her annual exam,
the doc recommended surgery.
 
So this past Monday, Oct.  21st, Noel had surgery.  They removed 3 large
tumors from the pancreas, a very enlarged left adrenal (they couldn't
find the right one), and an "abnormal and lobular" spleen.  Yikes!  They
kept her two days, as her glucose was elevated higher than they like it
to be.  We brought her home last night.
 
Unfortunately, she declined overnight.  She wouldn't eat for me at all
this morning, she wouldn't open her eyes all the way, and she was very
limp.  So we took her back to the vet.  Her glucose is still elevated too
high, so they gave her insulin.  They are keeping her at least two more
days, possibly three.  The part that has me most upset is that I have to
go out of town for business starting on Monday the 28th and I won't be
back until Nov. 7th!  I have to leave my baby when she needs me most!
Plus Sean (my fiance) just had shoulder surgery, so he's in a sling and
can only use one arm.
 
Please keep Noel in your thoughts and prayers today.  She really needs
it.  I am so scared for her.  Sweet little brat that she is, I love her
so much.
