hi yah everyone! Sorry I'm late with my weekly update.

I'm still doing pretty good. I'm showing signs of adrenal disease again,
so mom and Doctor Parker are thinking of starting me on Lupron. We'll see
what the future holds for me. Other than that, I'm still lively and happy.

Rusty and Tugger are doing GREAT as cage mates. Tugger was grooming Rus
the other day and made mom cry (like it takes much). Bones is hanging in
and has gained a *bit* of weight. We took in another 4 ferrets this week,
but Shandy & Stanley, Lucky & Joy and Electra were adopted!

I'd like to say thank you to the many families who have become fosters to
our excess fur kids this past week. Mom doesn't know what she'd do without
you! We now have over 50 ferrets, but things are getting a bit easier with
so many in foster homes.

One of the new kids, Rocky, is in the hospital. He's very sick with the
flu. We are worried about him. Jimmy, another sweet boy (even though he
picks on the rest of us kids) is sick too. Dr. Parker came over on Sunday
to vaccinate and check us all out and mom showed her Jimmy's bum. He's got
a mass there. He'll be going in for surgery soon. Please keep them both
in your thoughts.

Mik, my baby brother with Actinomyces is in a foster home with Tyler. Ty
was adopted out, but Mik missed him so much, Ty's owners decided to foster
him. I do hope that some day Mik is as lucky as I am and gets cured from
this evil infection that dragged me down for over 2 years.

Our S.P.C.A. still has a policy against ferrets as pets in Ontario. Sad,
but true. However, at the pet show a few weeks ago, one of the S.P.C.A.'s
branches expressed interest in attending the Ferrets 2000 symposium to
learn more about ferrets and domestication, health and cruelty prevention.
This could be great for ferrets in Ontario.

The symposium is coming along great. I'm still real excited to be meeting
my idols like BIG, Bob Church, Dr. Williams, tle, Gary H and Chris. We
were lucky enough to receive donations from 8 IN 1, Super Pet, The Ferret
Company, and a few others to help the symposium come together. All
proceeds will be donated to the S.O.S. shelter fund, the Toronto Zoo's
Black Footed Ferret breeding program and the University of Guelph teaching
hospital.

Please visit our web site to learn more about our shelter or Ferrets 2000
symposium.

Hope every one's fuzzies are as happy and healthy as i am!

Love, Harley "Bug"
