When you read this, I will probably still be in my car making the 16-hour
trip from DeKalb (near Chicago) to the Woodlands, Tx. (near Houston). I
have to drive thanks to the airline's refusal to allow ferrets on board,
but my Zoe is well worth the trip.

Much to my mom's anxiety, I told her I wanted to adopt a second ferret as
my Christmas present -- an avowed animal-hater, she is having a hard enough
time dealing with the thought of one ferret in her house.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew of any shelters in the Houston area,
preferably in the north suburban area around the Woodlands, Spring, Conroe
or Kingswood. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can think of no
better present for me, Zoe and whatever ferret I can rescue from neglect.
