Bob, I have long stated that I think (have observed) that groups
(business's) of ferrets have pecking orders and act much like packs of
wolves do.  For an example, I have always noted that there is not just an
obvious alpha, but a beta,,,,, and in my group, an obvious omega.  I'm
not the only one that has made this comparison on the FML over the years.
Alicia D has experience with both species and wrote a paper on this a
while back if I recall correctly, but it never got published as there was
lack of interest at the time.  I find ferret behavior, especially group
behavior to be fascinating.  Do you personally think that there are any
similarities between the two (wolves and ferrets in groups)?
