Hi Folks
As you may recall I posted a while back suggesting that certain ferrets may
have sensitive hearing. Well after a phone call to Ed Lipinski during which
he played some predator calls for me I am convinced that the ferrets are
reacting to a latent predatory instinct.

One of those calls sounded exactly like an infant crying, another sounded
like a small child squealing during play. Sure ferrets have been
domesticated for a long time, but their predatory instincts have not been
suppresed until recently (20 yrs or so) They are still used to hunt rabbits
in Europe today.

Ed is simply trying to help us understand our fuzzies better so we can learn
to avoid potentially volatile situations in the future!

Mia
