Get Lactated Ringers Solution, or LRS. Do not get saline. A ferret can
only have so much SQ fluids per day. Many people recommend 100ml of
water and food a day for a ferret to survive. Of course, you have to
take into account what the ferret may be eating and drinking on it's
own.

All I do is sq 20 to 30ml of LRS and wait for it to subside, see if the
ferret stabilizes, if not, I do more fluids. Often it ends up being
just 60ml SQ a day, although yes I have had to do 90ml before on very
sick animals.
