David,
I totally understand. My friends don't understand why I would rather
spend $100.00 to help a shelter than go to a fancy dinner.

I sit and watch them sleep and know what true bliss is. Butch and Maggie
came to me 3 years ago this weekend. I have spent more money, energy, and
tears worrying about them then many people I know. They don't understand
how poopies in corners don't upset me. But there is nothing in the world
I would trade for the look of contentment on their faces when they eat
their gravy or lap up their Ferretone.

Happiness is a warm fuzzy ferret (sorry Peanut's gang)

"I am sometimes asked, "Why do you spend so much of your time and money
talking about kindness to animals when there is so much cruelty to men?
I answer, "I am working at the roots."
