Dayna, I use Frontline Plus on the ferrets.  The Plus is for fleas and
ticks.  I buy the largest dog size, I think 89--132#, fill a syringe with
the liquid, and put 2-3 drops on the ferrets, depending on size.  No
fleas, no ticks, no problem.  There are a number of places you can buy on
line that are cheaper than buying from the vet.
