Hey people, I survived the great Bob bashing, I mean Bob Bash, hosted by
Linnereeno (the former Lynn McIntosh) and Janos Laboda on Saturday.

And we would have won the "farthest distance traveled" award if that darned
Bob hadn't shown up. But I think we did bring the most ferrets. Everyone
else showed restraint, just bringing a couple of their darlings, we brought
our whole herd!

It was a great party. In addition to Lynn & Janos, I'd previously met Lisa
Mesplay, Ed Lipinski, and of course the esteemed Bob Church. From e-mail
communication I kinda/sorta knew Suzy Cerere and husband David, Michael
(Limejello) Bostrom, and Todd Cromwell. New to me and delight- ful to meet,
were Mary Chapman, Brett & Maggie Bodemer, Kate Pappas, and Pam Franklin.

I have pictures - film at 11, or at least by noon tomorrow! If it moved,
it was recorded. Even if it didn't move, like the really lucious table of
food that was provided, I was photographing it.

Bob, our wonderful guest of honor, was his usual, um, loquacious self. Lynn
even provided him the appropriate attire for his "Ferret God Bohr" position -
a brown hooded monks robe and big gold wood cross on a rope around his neck!

Ferrets were everywhere - under foot, in arms, and on laps. Also on coffee
tables, sofas, and chairs. Mine, as they do at home, got into Lynn's
refigerator. I think they like hers the best, they can climb to higher
shelves!

The day stayed dry, so people and ferrets got to romp in Lynn & Janos' great
backyard, fully ferretsafe. We even played with the hose, but mostly the
visiting ferrets investigated. There were plants to climb over or hide
under, and lots of exciting new scents.

We had to leave early for the long drive back to Portland (made even longer
by a wreck blocking I-5 in both directions), so missed seeing photos of
Bob's own ferrets, and what I heard were really "fascinating" bones. We
missed the music too. Sniff...

Well, that's my report folks.

Georgia
