So far Rockerfeller and DuPont, our ferrets, have not had a problem
socializing and playing with two of our Chihuahuas. Up to a week ago, the
only two Chihuahuas that played with the ferrets were a 1-3/4 pound, 8
month old male and a 3 yo 2-1/2 pound female.

I am now in the process of socializing our two litters of Chihuahua pups (4
at 6 weeks and 3 at 5 weeks) with the ferrets. The two oldest, but tiniest
pups seem to thrive on the attention they get from the two ferrets. Hide
and go seek and chase (thru a dryer vent tube) are their top two favorite
games. The other pups are still rather bashful and will join in
momentarily, but need encouragement. The ferrets on the other hand love
their new "active" toys ;-) - much better than those lazy cats.
