I must disagree with the breeding of an animal known to be deaf and to
produce deaf kits.  Deafness is an undesirable trait, no matter that it
can be "lived with".  This is not to say that breeders shouldn't try to
produce a particular pattern, but rather that if in the attempt they
produce an undesirable trait as well, they should recognize that this
line should not be perpetuated.
