Hi,
I am a newbie with ferrets.  I found out that one of my friends has
ferrets.  She has one with her in her apt. near school, and the rest of
the family of 4 at home with her parents.
 
Well my point is... does anyone live around the LittleRock, Arkansas
area?  Till about the end of June I do.  I am going around traveling a
bit.  I would love to just get a babi for myself now, but like I said I
am travelling this summer.  I pretty much just want to see if I can hang
around ferrets if I can before getting a 24/7 babi.
 
I will be in the NYC area during July.
 
Whenever I get back to school I will have my own apt.  as well.  If I
finally decide to get a babi I would want one to adopt from a good home
or from a good shelter.  I would only want 1 at that moment you know?  I
have considered the vet bills, the time and effort,ferret happiness and
my happiness, and the happiness of my landlord, as well as a volunteer
ferret sitter if I ever need one.  I would be in Maine for school at that
point, so I would guess I would need to go to shelters there, or find a
parent needing a new good home for a babi.  I think about 1 years old?  I
would prefer?  A sable most likely.  BTW I have read Ferrets for Dummies
upon recommendation.
 
Oh, so back to my point.  I just want to see if anyone in the
LittleRock,Arkansas area would let me visit their ferrets.  I can't take
one with me to sit for you because I live with my aunt and I doubt she
would appreciate any living animal (even me and my brothers!) living in
her house.  Or if there are any animal shelters that need help?  If its
an animal shelter since I haven't yet found any work I could
help/work/volunteer on the weekends.
 
Anyone know of any temporary work with animals around this location?
