Speaking of paper towels and paper towel rolls--one of Zorro's favortie
toys is what we call a "sproing."

You, too, can make a sproing. Just take the empty paper towel tube and
unravel it--it will come apart on the bias, unrolling just like the way
that a can of biscuits will unroll when you pop it--and dangle it over
your ferret's head until he or she jumps for it.

Allow you ferret to "catch" it and then -- if your ferret is like
Zorro -- your ferret will go crazy, rolling around inside the thing,
all over the floor, wound up inside it and acting like it's the
greatest party toy ever.

Of course, if you ferret is like Mickey, your ferret will be bored
with it and show practically no interest at all, after the initial
inspection of "the new thing." Funny how they're all so similar in
some ways--and yet, every one is a distinct individual with his or
her own preferences!
