Belle also likes to tip over her water dish. We solved the problem by
swapping it with the food dish, which does not have a lip.
 
Belle likes to drink water from anywhere but where she is supposed to. We
originally had a water bottle, but she seldom used that and always went for
the cat's bowl instead, so we switched to a little bowl for her. Belle likes
to drink out of the mug of water Richard keeps by our bed at night (a good
heavy mug she can't tip over ;-)), and in the mornings when we are brushing
our teeth, we dump some water in the tub for her to lap up.
