Aha.  Would it help if I passed this info along to Rep.  Clough?  He
really seems helpful, and his neighbor is a vet who may be able to help
us...

Rep Clough is right-
MANY of the items in the listed statutes were repealed in 1997.
UNfortunately as in many cases the vets in ME did not have the current
information.
 
We are working through this and the updated information has been
forwarded to the ME vet who is working to update laws in ME with regard
to ferrets>
