I get most of my surrenders from the owners.

1. Having a baby.
2. It's sick,& I can't afford whatever it needs.
3. It doesn't get along with my new puppy. (ppl had ferrets for 5 yrs)
4. AC brings me some when siezed
5. I got in Katrina ferrets from the owners, as they'd fled & then had
   no home to return to.
6. It lives to long. (This one REALLY got me fired up) I went UGLY on
   those less then human crap.
7. As I'm very close to Ft Rucker, an Army base, I get them in from
   there as well.
8. Vets offices call me with a sweet kid whom is a throw away, left in
   a box after hours.

These are just a few.
