---Pam:
I was one of the people who wrote in requesting information on
orange speckles or crusts on he skin. One of our ferrets acquired a few
patches about a year ago. We saw the vet about them, but there was no
diagnosis. The patches have spread and shrunk over the last year, and
there are a few permanent patches. It does not seem to affect the ferrets'
vigor and it does not appear to be contagious, because our other ferret
does not have the patches. The one thing that is noticeable in our ferret
is that the underfur in the area is dyed a yellowish color.
