Eric and I would like to thank everyone who sent cards to the shelter.
You have no idea how much it means!  We've been running the shelter for
several years and it often feels thankless and overwhelming.  Almost all
of the ferrets who come to us are elderly, adrenal, insulinomic or all
of the above.  The vet bills and workload is astronomical!  We have no
volunteers and get no donations, so hubby and I do it all ourselves...
usually getting only 2-3 hours of sleep per night.  But as hard as it
sometime is, I couldn't consider NOT doing it.  I look at all the little
faces (33 at the moment) staring up at me and I know that it's worth it.
 
We have so many people tell us that we're crazy to to sacrifice money,
sleep, time, the carpet, etc to take care of all the critters...it's so
nice to occasionally hear from people who actually understand and
appreciate what we do.  Thank you guys!!!
