I've been meaning to ask this for a long time now.

Why on EARTH do they market those horrid metal-pronged "slicker" brushes as
being suitable for ferrets? I got one along with all the other stuff when
I bought Grover away from his original owner... I can't imagine touching my
ferrets with one! (Maybe an angora fert with a bad hair day?) When I feel
the urge to use a brush (about once every 2 months) I usually use one of
those very soft-bristled kitten brushes..mostly to get them used to the
idea than any real attempt at brushing.

Of course, I haven't been through a full "shed" period yet...I may change
my tune :-)

But still... I really wonder about these folks selling slicker brushes for
ferrets...any comments?
