Hi all--
I have a sort of paranoid question. My roommate's boyfriend's cat is very
ill with a respiratory ailment that the cat picked up at the shelter he was
just adopted from. The vet told them that the illness was very contagious
and not to let the cat into contact with other animals, and put the cat on
antibiotics for ten days. My question is, is there any likelihood that my
ferrets could pick up this kind of illness from my roommate's hands,
clothes, or shoes? We're already agreed that my roommate is not to touch
the ferrets, but I'm feeling paranoid about her leaving the cat's germs
behind her on the floor or furniture. Any opinions gratefully accepted,

Regina
and Cully and Amelia too!
