I want to thank those of you who answered my post awhile back regarding
possible adrenal problems in my Sparky. Sparky is 3 1/4 years old, male,
Marshall Farms, silver mitt. He is the most gentle of my four fuzzies.
His earlier blood panel (run locally) showed nothing else amiss. I told my
vet about the Tennessee test (which you guys told me about), and he called
some of his cronies who knew all about it.

I took Sparky to my vet this morning to have his blood drawn. My vet is
sending the sample to University of Tennessee for "the test". The charge
here in CaCa land is $130 including the U of T charges. I understand that
U of T charges are about $80. CaCa land strikes again. We are pretty sure
it is the adrenal but would like to try this test (even though it could
miss the diagnosis)(I tend to be guilt ridden and would really feel bad if
I had him opened up and no tumor). His only symptoms are the hair loss.
It started behind his shoulders and is widening towards his tail. Sparky's
appetite is fine and his energy level is up.

The test results should be back in about 3 weeks. I will let you know what
I hear.

Pat &
Sparky (I like my car ride, but I could do without those vet visits. The
vet puts a little mask on me to make me "relax". Relax this Mr. Vet.)
