Re your question about Dr. Briggs in FML 759...

Yes, it's true. Dr. Deborah Briggs showed up at the Kansas Senate Subcommittee
hearing to speak on behalf of the state of Kansas AGAINST Troy Lynn Eckart's
bill which was under consideration to have ferrets' status legally changed to
domestic. The senators made mincemeat of the state's witnesses, who were
unprepared and trying to pass off outdated information as current.

Troy Lynn is mad as a wet hen at you know who, who has been obstructive every
step of the way. Troy Lynn is more than happy to talk to anyone who cares to
hear about it. Her number is 913-494-8415.

You may recall Dr. Briggs was the one who refused to testify on behalf of the
McDowells. She has been devoting much of her time and energy in recent months
soliciting funding from the ferret community at large to support her shedding
studies. But when questioned by the senate committee, she did not know how much
money she had collected nor how much more was needed nor how long it would tale
to raise enough money to start the studies. In a recent issue of a ferret
organization publication, she said she thought she could get enough money to
complete the studies if every ferret owner in the United States would send her
$1 for every ferret they own.
