Hi all--

i want to say thanks for the info i've gotten on Keera and AMC. Basically,
many people say the place is amazing--just expensive...

Via email, I have found out about Dr. Kawasaki in Virginia. I have heard
he is excellent and does the surgery for much less of a price. My vet
doubts that this is possible in order to be able to stay out of poverty!!
Has anybody had adrenal surgery/other services by Dr. Kawasaki done? Is he
really as cheap/good as they say? I will be willing to make the trip if i
know it is going to be worth it for Keera.

The one thing about AMC is that her vet will be board certified (i don't
know about the surgeon, but i think they are certified in avian/exotics).
Does anyone know about Dr. Kawasaki's credentials? I kinda want to make
the trip--but the return with a sick baby is another problem.

Any suggestions from the peanut gallery??

Meagan and keera

[Moderator's note: My understanding is that the AMC requires more than one
surgeon to be present at *every* scheduled surgery and at least one of the
surgeons present in the operating room must be board certified. BIG]
