When I first got my ferrets, I had the same quandry, "what to feed...
which one is BEST". I have always given my cats a mixture of about 4-5
diff kinds of dry kibble. I buy big bags, mix 'em up in a tub, then put
it in their feeder. I guess my reasoning was so they have a good variety.
Since my 3 fuzzies were all on different things too when I first got 'em,
I got a bag of what each was on (iams kitten, zupreme and fiesta - which I
weaned them off of, too much fruit) and now still get two different ones,
I guess so they will get a good balance of nutrition and a variety as well.
Works for us... the german shepherds are the only ones I just stick to one
brand cause my dad always drilled into me that's what will keep them alive
the longest, and if/when you switch them - look out, diarrhea city! Yes,
I AM a slave to my animals/zoo, oh WELL.
