Hi Sue,

Many times stress will cause digestive changes that can increase the
odor in the feces...

If the ferret has been with you for 10 days or more and this is an
issue still - I strongly recommend that a vet run fecal testing to
rule out parasitic, fungal and other infections.

Coccidia will cause a nasty odor in the stools, helicobacter can as
well, but usually the more intense the odor the more pronounced the
intestinal bug.

Stress, ulcers can cause this as well ,so a vet check up and perhaps
anecdotal treatment should be considered.

Best wishes,
Alicia at www.ferretwise.org
