Hi everyone!

Ferry (4YO male diagnosed with insulinoma 2 months ago) has been doing
fine on pred and chicken baby food (except for a couple of times when he
got really weak and we had to give him some karo syrup).

Two days ago, something odd happened. It was a hot day and we only had
some fans throughout our apartment. The fuzzies were out playing, and my
wife, Wendy, grabbed Ferry and was carrying him (cuddling him) when he
suddenly urinated all over himself (and her). Ferry has never done this
before. He always waits until you put him on the floor before going to
the bathroom (no matter how bad he wants to go, or how much time he has to
wait, that's just the way he's always been). We gave him a bath and he
eat just afterwards. He looked alright. Since he didn't show signs of
weakness or lethargy I thought this was because of the heat -- temperature
in Cleveland was well above normal for this time of the year (he was a
little sleepy, but so were his sisters).

Yesterday, they were all playing outside and Wendy found him all wet. It
seems he urinated on the floor and then just laid there so he got al wet.
Again we gave him a bath. As Wendy was holding him right after his bath
and he was very still (kind of unusual for him) so I was trying to see
how he reacted to my hands and food to see if he was feeling ok. His
responses were normal. It seemed he was feeling ok.

Could this be a secondary effect to insulinoma-related weakness? Do you
think this could be a behavioral problem? Or are we dealing with
something else here?

We have been in warmer conditions and he has never done this. Even if he
was weak due to heat, he never urinated on himself.

What do you guys think? I'd appreciate any comments.

Thanks

-Joe
