Roary, that was a beautiful post and so right!

Yes, about a year extra with treatment for a ferret with cardiomyopathy
is actually better than most with that illness do.

Also, I think it is easy to become extra attached on both sides of the
equation during that illness compared to some other illnesses --no
matter how deep the relationship was before -- because of the level
of care needed; it certainly is what has happened to us with some
illnesses that required very extreme levels of home nursing.
