I'm willing to bet that SOMEONE on the set of "scrubs" knows something
about ferrets, and they said that particular line to jab us ferret
lovers...because that is so blatantly not true, it seems like a joke.
 
Then again, they are probably in CA, so who knows what poison's been
pumped into their Hollywood minds..  lol
 
Don't lose too much sleep over it...
