hi

Not to get into this argument...but i had thought i'd heard that older
ferrets, or "unwanted" ferrets at such stores like petco, were eventually
euthanized. Does anyone know for sure what becomes of the ferret that is
left there longer than the store feels is needed? And if indeed those
ferrets are put to sleep...then why not adopt the older ones or just the
unwanted one that just happens to be at a store by stroke of fate?
Where's the harm when you're still giving that one a good home? It's not
like anyone goes out and buys 6 ferrets at once and supplies the demand.
It's the dumb person that goes into a store not knowing anything but that
"it looks cute, so let's get it", and then after realizing that it wasn't
"right" for them...they give it up to a shelter (hopefully) for whatever
reason.

Anyway....Does anyone know what happens to that elder ferret left at
the store? cause i've seen ferrets grow old in that plastic cage, and
then are gone miraculously right before they get another shipment of
kits. Sorry if any of my terms seem untactful...but i'm not trying to
be politicly correct.
