I have to disagree with this correlation between the two. I have a deaf
ferret and she will sleep for long periods at a time but if I want to wake
her up all I have to do is put my hand on her and she is wide
awake.............on the other hand I have 2 hearing ferrets that will
sometimes sleep so deep that nothing wakes them up short of persistance
from me. I think it just depends on the ferret whether hearing or deaf.
