I have fed my ferrets 8 in 1 Plus Ultimate for about 7 years - It is 38%
protein - I mix it with IAMS Adult Maturity Cat that is 32% protein -
they have all done very well with this mix.  I have never had a ferret
that would eat Totally Ferret or any of the other brands - they totatlly
would not eat!  Plus you must always have a food they will eat easily
available - and IAMS is (when I can't get 8-1 fast enough).  My very
first ferret came to me adopted and he only ate 9-Lives dry cat food all
his life - he would NOT eat any ferret food - and believe me I tried them
all!
 
FerretVite is the greatest thing since sliced bread!  My ferrets love it
and I can clip toenails and everything with just a smudge!  (All by
myself which is important since I can't always expect a family member
available to help cut all these fuzzy toenails!)
 
This is just my experience and all fuzzies are not the same - you just
have to try everything!
