I am new to the list but am enjoying the stories of the the trials and
tribulations of ferret ownership.
 
I do have a simple question though my ferret Alex is somewhat litter
trained if he is in the cage he goes in the box 99% of the time but about
every two or three weeks I come down to find he has gone to the bathroom in
his food dish.  I have tried scolding him that did not work, I tried a bird
feed dish that hangs from the side of the cage he just hikes his but up 4"
in the air and goes in his bowl again.  Why????  Can I do anything to stop
this behavior.  any advice is appreciated.
