i haven't had much experience treating burns on people or animals, but from
what i've learned on myself i'd suggest soaking all affected parts with as
much aloe vera juice as you can squeeze out of the plant.  its a succulent,
and should be available at greenhouses (probably not k-mart types, however)
also, try pouring vitamin e on their burns.  if necessary, buy a bottle of
those tiny capsuls & squeeze each one out into a small cup, then goop it
all on.
 
i'll send along magick thoughts and loving healing for the fuzzy kids.
whatever happened?  Sounds like bosnia over there.  will people be called to
account for this horror?  i'd be delighted to assist in their "reeducation."
