It is with great pleasure that I make this announcement. The Ferret
Aid Society, along with other (unconfirmed) Canadian ferret shelters,
are proud to announce the arrival of the Canadian chapter of the
International Ferret Congress.

We are proud to share with you the IFC Ferret Aid 2006 details.

Our first event will be June 2,3 & 4 - 2006 in Toronto at the Novotel
Mississauga.

CONFIRMED guest speakers include (but are not limited to)

Ms. Ann Martin
Ann is the author of the very controversial books entitled "Food Pets
Die For - shocking facts about pet food" and "Protect Your Pet - more
shocking facts". Her research into the pet food industry has enlightened
many ferret and animal lovers over the years.

Dr. Karen Purcell
Dr. Purcell is the author of Essentials of Ferrets: A Guide for
Practitioners. What can I say about her, she's already known by all of
you!!! We're glad to have her.

Dr. Karen Regan
Dr. Regan is a caring and compassionate vet in Toronto. She will be
covering things like exams, blood results and going over vet language
in layman terms.

Dr. Petra Burgmann
Dr. Burgmann is a specialist in homeopathic and naturopathic animal care.
She has been working with ferrets for over 10 years.

Dr. Jerry Murray
Dr. Murray has seen many cases of ADV (Aleutians Disease Virus) and can
speak from experience to other veterinarians and ferret lovers about the
importance of testing and supportive care. He also will be sharing
information with us about the use of Melatonin implants for non-surgical
cases of Adrenal Disease.

More details will be available shortly. If you're interested in
participating or sponsoring the event, please contact

We'll be looking for regional coordinators and volunteers to help make
this event fun AND successful! If you're interested, please let me know.
