I don't mean to flame anyone, but *NOT ALL* ferrets are just playing when they
attack each other.  My little mutt Allie made multiple puncture wounds in
Felix's neck, bit nearly through her tail, and mangled Charli's tail back in
October.  All of the above were spayed and got along great with males.
Sometimes it's just better to keep them apart.
