To Richard in Ohio:
Bandit hates liquid Prednisone as well (he gets 2ml daily).
We mix it with Nutrical & give it to him with a spoon, & this
seems to work just fine, though it's very sticky. You should
be able to get Nutrical from your vet, or you can buy it
from J&B Wholesale Pet Supplies, a discount mail-order outfit.
Nutrical is a high-calorie food supplement, which is safe for
ferrets. A ferret with a tumor will be going through extra stress
and probably needs the extra nutrients. You can call J&B at
201-423-2222. They take Visa, MC & American Express. Their
minimum order is $25 plus shipping, so you would need to
order 7 tubes ($3.45 a tube plus $4.25 for a $25-$50 order),
so you should probably get a tube from your vet first to make
sure Cutout likes it. All our ferrets love this stuff, so I
don't think it'll be a problem.

As for Spiney Norman being a dead giveaway, well, I'm only
slightly embarrassed to admit I recognized all the references.
("Morning, Mrs. Premise!" "Morning, Mrs. Conclusion!" "MORNING,
MRS. CUTOUT!")

Good luck!
