This incident happened, about six years ago. Since than, both Barbara
and Trouble passed away.

When Barbara and I were watching television, in the Florida-Room, in
our recliners, we heard a gun shot, from the opposite end of the room.

All of a sudden, Trouble ran from under the couch, as fast as his feet
would carry him, up some stairs and into the livingroom. As I was
trying to coach Trouble from under the livingroom couch, Barbara was
checking where the gun shot came from.

A rifle scabbard, propped up against the wall, had a hole in the top.
Powder burns went up the wall and a hole was in the ceiling.

Somehow, Trouble managed to climb inside of the rifle scabbard,
disengage the safety and fire Barbara's Savage target rifle.

Ever since Trouble fired the rifle, all of my firearms are unloaded,
except for two semi-automatic pistols and one shotgun, which are either
hidden or out of fuzzy's reach. Most of my ammunition is stored in a
hallway closet.

My mobilehome retirement community complex manager was somewhat upset,
about the gunshot. But, she calmed down, after Barbara and I assured
her it was an accident.

Before and after the incident, some of our nosy Snow-Buzzard neighbors
complained, when they saw us carrying firearms to Barbara's car or van,
so we could attend a shooting competition.

Mostly, we entered black powder shooting competitions, using original
and reproduction firearms, of the Colonial and Civil War Eras.

Sometimes, we entered Cowboy Action Single-Action Shooting (CASS)
completions, which required three pistols (two revolvers and one
derringer), one rifle and one shotgun. The three pistols and rifle had
to be the same caliber. The shotgun could be 20 through 10 gauge.

My CASS Rig consisted of three Rugar Blackhawk revolvers, a Davis
derringer, a Marlin rifle and a double barrel Stoger Coach-Gun shotgun.

Smiles,
Arlena
