Hi all,

It's been *ages* since I've written here, and I have several things to
say, but I'll put them in separate posts, just to be helpful.

Corey (the father of my fur children) and I have recently taken in a new
edition. On October 18th, we brought little Tiki into our home to live
with Lu and Gabe.

See, we were dropping off Lucy and Gabriel for boarding at Anne Ryan's
house/shelter for the weekend. And, well, my birthday was the coming
Thursday. And we'd been thinking of getting a third. So we thought a
foster would be a good idea. Foster gets a happy home, shelter has one
less ferret, humans are happy, babies get a friend. Everyone's happy.

So I mentioned to Anne that we were thinking of getting another fert, so if
she had any fosters coming in that would get along with my babies, let them
play together, and let us know what happens.

When we came back to pick up our babies, Anne mentioned a cutesy little gal
that played well with our kids. She's a MF brown sable, 4.5 years old,
previous only child. And boy, is she darling. I put her in the cage with
our two to see what would happen, and it seemed to be love at first sight.
Both kids went right over and licked her ears, and Lucy curled up around
her like she was a baby and slept with her. Talk about syrupy sweet!

Needless to say, after being there a couple of hours and chatting up a
storm (to the woman who was helping at the shelter that day, please e-mail
me!), and watching Tiki sleep so quietly with the kids, we had to have her.
We even made jokes about how *hard* integration would be, the way they were
*fighting*. :D

Well, next post explains why this is so funny.

Andrea
